Oahu Hiking - Kaiwi Coastline Hike

If you can't be here in person, you can certainly enjoy this gorgeous view of the southeast shore of Oahu, Hawaii, also known as the Ka`iwi Coast. These beautiful wallpapers are sized for dual screen, wide screen, and VGA screen monitors.
You're looking straight out to the ocean here. To your left are lava rock tidepools and the way to Makapuu. To your right is Sandy Beach. The water here is quite shallow but not really good for swimming as there is a lot of sharp coral and lava rock. That plus the rough water makes this a good place to fish or view but not so go to go in.
But what a great view it makes for your computer screen!

Hiking Gear Guide
Experienced hikers know what to bring, and here’s a guide for the rest of us:
• Water (lots!)
• Hat, large enough to give you plenty of shade. Personally I like the large “Chinese” hats.
• Good hiking shoes. Either that or go barefoot, like I do!
• Light lunch for your reward at the end of the trail.
• Nuts and energy snacks for along the way of particularly long hikes.
• Camera
• Sunscreen
• Binoculars
• Depending on conditions, leave a change of shoes and clothes in the car.
• GPS unit.
• Walkie-talkies for the group.
• Wireless phone
