Oahu Beaches - Halona Cove Beach, From Here to Eternity Beach

You’ll have to hike down a steep but easy path to the beach. First locate the beach which will be on located on the right side of the parking lot as you face the ocean. The trailhead is right next to the entrance to the parking lot by the highway.
Free things to do on Oahu: Hike down the path to Halona Cove Beach
Carefully step down the trail and be aware of loose rock. I’ve found the easier way to get there is to stay on the left side of the trail which is marked with large flat boulders that make it relatively easy to step down. While this is pretty easy stuff for the young, if you have elderly in your party be mindful that they may have a hard time descending. This is a wonderful, free thing to do on Oahu and kids love it.
Once you’ve made to the beach area, look around for what section appeals to you.

Beach Gear Guide
Here’s what we tend to bring when planning a full day at the beach:
• Collapsable beach chairs
• Collapsable tent
• Large mat to place on sand, enough for 4-6 people to sit and eat.
• Water, food, and coolers. We love tuna sandwiches so we’ll typically mix up a bunch of tuna and mayo, store it in a container, and bring along a loaf of bread.
• Juice drinks (try Hawaiian Sun brand).
• Chips, nuts, trail mixes.
• Candy bars/nut bars.
• Big hats to shade the sun.
• UV rash guard shirts
• Sunglasses
• Waterproof sunscreen
• Snorkel gear
• Swimming goggles
• Bodyboards
• Fins
• Two beach towels per person
• Change of dry clothes
• Plastic grocery bags (to store wet clothes)
