Nest in the finger coves

Oahu Beaches - Halona Cove Beach, From Here to Eternity Beach

Looking out at the ocean from the Center of Halona Cove Beach

If you make your way to the middle, you’ll find a collection of little “finger coves” that you can setup camp and have a wee little bit of privacy, not to mention a commanding view of a beautiful beach.

Free things to do on Oahu: Explore secret finger coves

It's almost like each finger cove is a private box seat at the sports arena, except over here its completely natural and you have one of the most breathtaking views of the ocean you'll find anywhere. The finger coves  make for a great place to make a little private space of your own at the beach.

Beach Gear Guide

Here’s what we tend to bring when planning a full day at the beach:

• Collapsable beach chairs

• Collapsable tent

• Large mat to place on sand, enough for 4-6 people to sit and eat.

• Water, food, and coolers. We love tuna sandwiches so we’ll typically mix up a bunch of tuna and mayo, store it in a container, and bring along a loaf of bread.

• Juice drinks (try Hawaiian Sun brand).

• Chips, nuts, trail mixes.

• Candy bars/nut bars.

• Big hats to shade the sun.

• UV rash guard shirts

• Sunglasses

• Waterproof sunscreen

• Snorkel gear

• Swimming goggles

• Bodyboards

• Fins

• Two beach towels per person

• Change of dry clothes

• Plastic grocery bags (to store wet clothes)
